Distinguish colour variety from colour sequence

A product photograph can show several separate colour options or one trim that contains several colours. First confirm which it is. For a single multicolour border, identify whether the colour arrangement repeats, changes along its length or varies between motifs. Do not assume two parts cut from the same photographed family will show the same colour at the garment's centre.

Record a complete sequence

Ask for an uninterrupted view long enough to show the relevant sequence, with the start and direction marked. Give each candidate a simple diagram or photograph reference. A close-up of one flower is useful for detail but cannot establish what appears beside the next flower. Keep the unedited sequence view alongside any cropped selection image used by the buyer.

Choose the starts for paired components

Place left and right components next to each other at their planned starting positions. Decide whether you want matching colours at the top, a mirrored impression or a deliberate progression. Turning a piece end for end may change the flower direction as well as its colour order. Approve the arrangement on the garment drawing and allow for any unused length between selected starts.

Make sequence part of the supply question

Send the reference and marked sequence with your quantity request. Ask what can be confirmed about the actual supplied lengths and whether additional photographs or a sample are needed. If colour order is essential, keep that approval separate from the general colour name. The website selection gathers references; the annotated sequence is the detail you attach in the follow-up conversation.

  • Separate colour options distinguished from one multicolour trim.
  • Full sequence, direction and starting points recorded.
  • Paired layout and unused intervals included in planning.
