Choose a lead detail

Start with the garment's main decorative area. If the neckline is the focus, compare quieter cuff and hem options before adding another large motif. Coordinated does not have to mean identical. Repeating a colour or a small shape can connect the components while preserving different widths for different placements. Review the complete outfit from a normal viewing distance, not only separate close-ups.

Compare physical components together

Place samples on the same garment fabric under consistent lighting. Compare the backing as well as the decoration: pale mesh, dark mesh and a dense stitched area can remain differently visible. Look at the pieces in a second relevant lighting condition before making a colour decision. A shared catalogue colour family is a browsing aid, not evidence of an exact coordinated shade.

Build a component sheet

Give each placement a row containing its reference, selected photograph, quantity per garment and unit. A neckline might be counted in pieces while borders are ordered by length. Keep those units separate when multiplying by the garment quantity. Add the sample approval reference so the purchasing team can distinguish the chosen variant from other colours shown on the same product page.

Confirm what is supplied together

Ask for a quotation against the full sheet, with separate availability and minimum quantities for each reference. Do not call the selection a supplied set unless the quotation says so. If one component changes, review its effect on the other placements before accepting a substitute. Save the revised sheet and sample photographs as the shared record for the whole garment.

  • One row per placement, reference and selected variant.
  • Independent units for length and pieces.
  • Shared sample approval and substitution record.
