Make sure the quoted items match
Begin with the same reference or a clearly described alternative, exact colour, dimensions and required quantity. Ask each supplier to identify the variant pictured. A cheaper border with a different repeat, usable width or attachment method may not meet the same brief. Keep alternatives in separate rows and note what must change in the garment if that option is selected.
Normalise quantity without losing usability
Convert quoted length units consistently and define the contents of a roll or set. For example, 100 yards equals 91.44 metres; it is not the same quantity as 100 metres. For pieces, compare usable single pieces, pairs and sets separately. Also check continuous lengths and motif cuts, because equal total length does not always yield equal numbers of finished garment components.
Keep additional costs explicit
Ask which sample, packing and transport charges are included and which remain to be confirmed. Compare offers in a stated currency and record the quotation date and validity if supplied. Destination-dependent charges need a current logistics quotation and clarification from the responsible parties. Do not turn a general article into a promise of a particular shipping rate, tax treatment or delivered total.
Compare the finished garment impact
Add cutting consumption and the sewing team's attachment estimate to your internal comparison. Keep these separate from the supplier's product price. Review sample suitability and unresolved specification questions before ranking the offers. Send Middle East Trims a consistent list of references, quantities, units and destination so the response can address the same purchasing brief rather than an incomplete photograph collage.
