Change the background before judging

A pale catalogue background makes an outline easy to see, but it cannot show how the mesh will sit on your garment. Place the sample over the intended cloth in one layer, then compare it against a lighter and darker backing if the design has sheer areas. Save photographs of both the full placement and the visible mesh between motifs.

Distinguish a margin from a finished edge

Identify the unused ground outside the embroidered shape and ask which edges are supplied finished. Do not assume all visible mesh can be cut away safely. Request the supplier's attachment guidance and let the sewing team test a spare sample. Record the trimmed outline only after the trial, particularly around narrow stems and isolated decorative points.

Review overlapping areas separately

At a join or layered neckline, the sample may have more than one layer of backing. Position the exact overlap used in production and compare its visibility with the surrounding area. Check both the face and reverse in the intended garment construction. If the overlap is too obvious, discuss a different placement or product rather than altering the catalogue photograph to hide it.

Describe the acceptable result

Send the reference, base fabric photograph and placement to Middle East Trims. Explain whether the backing should blend in, remain deliberately visible or sit inside a lined area. Ask for a sample of the exact colour and construction. Words such as invisible or nude do not define an approved result without the intended cloth and a shared physical reference.

  • One-layer and overlap views on the chosen cloth.
  • Finished edges and tested cutting boundaries.
  • Exact backing colour and sample reference.
